I hope you had a great weekend!! Jonny and I were home this weekend and it was so nice to just enjoy Denver. We are going, going, going all over all of the time so it feels great to take a deep breath, slow down, and enjoy our own city sometimes.
I love stumbling upon new places in our neighborhood. On Friday when we were out and about. I spotted this bright blue truck with #GetHappy written on the back - clearly needed to see what was inside! I met the owner of Happy Cones Co, Hap. Hap is from New Zealand, with a thick accent and has an ice cream truck dedicated to making people happy... I instantly wanted to become his best friend! He made me a delicious fresh berry cone and I am planning on spending the remainder of my summer days planted right outside of the Happy Truck sampling every flavor (yolo!?).
I bought this shirt ($49.50) on a whim, which Jonny hates, but I think are sometimes the best purchases. He is more methodical in purchases, and life in general which is why I think we work well together... we balance each other out :). Anyway, I have worn this shirt probably more than any other single item that I own and I know will easily transition into fall (can already imagine it with a red puffy vest and boots!).
I used to be terrified of mixing and matching prints, but I think this top is so easy to just throw on with almost anything and the gingham pattern compliments this playful skirt ($198) so nicely. I love that the fringe is fun, yet subtle and not too over the top to wear to the office. I love pieces that have more than just one look - and this skirt can definitely be dressed up for work with a nice blouse and nude pumps or down with a casual top and sandals like these ($24.99) or these ($34.97).
Thanks to Brandon Hill for these fun pics!
