Happy Almost Valentines Day, Friends!!

After a wonderful girls weekend in NYC with Mom, I am so excited to get back home to Jonny and Stanley just in time for Valentines day ❤️.  My mom and I had a busy few days in the city attending events and a few fashion shows and I can't wait to share more from our trip with you!! 

Jonny and I chatted briefly about our Valentines plans and agreed that after a busy few weeks of travel for both of us that the best way to celebrate our love would be a night in at home.  He offered to make dinner, which I am very much looking forward to because after eight years together I have realized that Ramen Noodles is his house specialty, but even that would be ok with me!

If Jonny's cooking doesn't work out, we have a few tried and true restaurants we always go to.  When we are planning a special date night we usually opt for Linger because the ambiance is fun and food is always new and delicious (it is also right up the street which is a little bonus), or Mercantile (we had our Valentine's date there last year).  Also, Cooper Lounge, is always a great spot to grab a drink before or after dinner and has a beautiful view and always fun people watching looking over Union Station.  We have really been wanting to try The Populist!  We have heard great things and it looks so pretty! What is your favorite date night spot?

Almost my whole look is Banana Republic.  I was instantly drawn to this blush midi skirt and I love how soft this matching sweater is which comes in 7 other colors.  My fur vest is old, but I found a similar one here and here.  My shoes are probably the most comfortable heels I have ever had.  Stanley may have loved them even more than me and mistakenly used them as a chew toy, so I am so glad I found them in stock here because they are pretty much out everywhere else. I found a few other burgundy options that I also love here and here (and these also come in blush!)

Hi Friends - Happy Friday!

I always love this time of year in Colorado.  The weather is as close to perfect as it can get and growing up, Zoe's birthday and Father's day were almost always on the same weekend so it was a nice time to catch up with our whole family.  This has been a hard week with all that is going on in the world, so I am very much looking forward to spending extra time with my family this weekend.

I shared this skirt recently along with some of my favorite places in Denver for a LiketoKnow.it takeover - Denver edition.  A few other Denver gals and myself, got to takeover their Instagram account and show everyone around our city, which was so fun!  My first stop was Union Station because I love how it's revamp has changed the landscape of Denver.  The restaurants are yummy, and they always have something fun going on.  I visited the new farmers market for the first time last weekend and am sure I will be a regular there on Saturday mornings.

So guys, I am typically a pink girl, but orange and yellow have been taking up more space in my closet this season.  When I saw this skirt, I tried it on in white as well, since I was torn, I asked Jonny for his opinion... clearly he went with his favorite color (all Broncos all the time in this house) and I am so glad!  The vibrant color is great for summer and the midi length was perfect.  I am (almost) 5'3 and wearing a 2 for sizing purposes :).  Also, I have to tell you, lately, Banana Republic has been my go-to for shoes (get mine here).  They have a great selection, quality, and always affordable.  Shop the rest of my look below.

Bright Sunshiney Days

I was so happy to finally spend some time in the sun this past weekend! After a long winter, the sunshine and spring weather could not have been more welcome.  Jonny was out of town so Charlie Brown had a leisurely Sunday afternoon filled with babies and doggies picnicing with our sweet friends at their new home, in their beautiful backyard.  It was absolutely perfect.

Pink and Red - Yes, You Can!

Hi Friends!

I hope you guys are having a great week!

I am getting excited for February... really excited!  It is my favorite month next to December - not just because it is the month of "loooooovvve", but it is also two of my best friends and my birthday month - so really a whole month of celebrations!!  

It is also one of my favorite times to wear bold colors with very feminine accents since everyone seems to have romance on the brain.  Also, with Spring nearing and snow dwindling I am always a little more excited (and more likely) to get dressed up!  Although I love cozy sweaters and boots it has been nice to break out my skirts and go tightsless 🙊mid-winter!  

I used to be a rules girl: no black with navy, no pattern mixing, and definitely no red with pink (ewww it clashed!)!  I am learning (as I grow almost a year older) those rules don't apply anymore - especially this one!  This is definitely my favorite "rule" to break since pink is my favorite color and red is another bold staple.  I love this top ($37) and also often pair it with jeans for a casual date look.  My exact skirt is sold out, but I also love this one, this one and this one (all under $50!).  I have linked the rest of my look below!
