Hi Friends!
One of my favorite things about living in Colorado is that we have four true seasons to enjoy. Our fall is often the perfect time to sit outside and enjoy a cocktail because of the perfectly mild weather. I love living in Lohi because we are smack in the middle of several amazing spots for patio sipping and lounging.
The patio at Root Down is one of my favorites - I might be slightly biased because it is about 14 steps from door to door, but the food and friendly staff are both amazing, and they don't skimp on their happy hour menu. Also, if I am not drinking Prosecco I love a good Moscow Mule and they make the best by brewing their own ginger beer and lots and lots of ginger!
Before the Restoration Hardware opening, my friend Liz (also in this post!) and I were ready early (which never, ever happens... ever) so decided to walk around the corner and enjoy the gorgeous weather before heading to one of the most unforgettable parties Denver has seen. 3,000 people packed into the new Design Gallery to enjoy the beautiful space, yummy eats from the highly anticipated Matsuhisa, and mingle with (a lot) of our closest friends as well as the CEO himself, who was incredibly kind and insisted we take a funny selfie.
For this event especially I wanted to find something to wear that was classic with a twist. I ordered several dresses online in a panic at the last minute (do you ever do that?) so I would at least have something if I didn't find the right dress. I found this dress the Monday before the event, which was on Wednesday, and knew it was exactly what I was looking for. I think feathers add the perfect element of surprise and fun to a piece, while not being over the top. I have linked all of my favorite feather finds below including the sister top my dress - however, I have not been able to find my dress online (it may still be available at Gracie's).
