We are headed to a wedding this weekend in Pittsburgh. We have been one other time for a… wait for it… wedding! You know those friends that you rarely see, but there is that wonderful bond/connection that you have and the moment you see each other it is like no time has passed at all? That is this group of friends. When Jonny and I first moved in together five years ago, we lived in DC and met five other couples that we did everything with. We spent less than a year all together, but made lasting friendships with this group – each couple went on to get engaged in the next few years and the wedding this weekend is the last wedding of the DC clan… we can't wait to celebrate the beautiful couple and see our amazing friends!
When I was picking out their wedding gift, I was trying to think about the things that really stood out to us. Although each gift is so special to us, and we were lucky to get items from our registry, it was so fun to get a few surprises that were not! I loved seeing our friends and families personalities come through each gift and every time I use or see it I am reminded of them.
Clearly I love personalized gifts, they make me happy, and I think as a newlywed it is always fun to get something with your new initial or monogram so I love this personalized cutting board ($42) - we have two that we use all of the time! And recently I have been hosting quite a bit and really wishing we had a cute drink dispenser like this one ($29) for side by side cocktails and mocktails :). I never thought we would use all of the bowls we got, but we do! So when I can't decide - I reach for a pretty bowl like this rose bowl ($95). And I really just love pineapples.... so someone may be getting a pineapple cookie jar ($32) - surprise!
