Holiday Week of Chic: Coats for him and her and lip kit giveaway

Happy Sunday!

I hope you have all had a wonderful weekend and that you have been enjoying this Holiday Week of Chic Giveaway series as much as Lacey and I have.  Today we have partnered with Glo Minerals to give away a Lip Temptation Kit which makes for the most perfect holiday lip color!

We are exactly a week away from Christmas so today I am spending the day ordering the last of my gifts online to ensure they arrive on time.  With the amount of snow we have gotten over the past few days I have had coats on the brain as a great Christmas gift.  I snagged mine this summer (you know I never plan ahead, but this time I did and am so thankful!) and got this coat for steal! It is so incredibly warm and still on sale HERE and I also love this one and this one also on sale!  I found a very similar coat in four colors, I like the white, and 50% off ($89).

A person or two on my list have requested this coat (40% off with code Holiday).  I have this similar option in grey (worn here and here) and currently $134.  I also love this long puffer jacket very similar to the one I am wearing and $80.

Jonny always needs a new jacket (or two).  With the weather constantly changing and outdoor activities here in Colorado he always has a need for a slightly different layer (or so he thinks ;) ).

Jonny gets the a ton of use out his Patagonia jackets and fleeces - he wears them to the office, after skiing and out with friends, so you can imagine he wears through them pretty quickly.  I love this plain one and this quilted one, and know he has eye on a patterned one like this .  For work I always think it is nice for a guy to have a classic pea coat and this one is 65% off!  I also like the idea of an updated fun parka like this one $199 that is nice enough for work, but warm enough for weekends in the mountains.

Be sure to join today's giveaway and the other great giveaways that will be open for a few more days (we have two more coming your way!!) Have a wonderful Sunday!

Gifts for your host and hostess with the mostess!

Morning Friends!

I hope you have had a chance to relax this weekend after a long and interesting week.

Jonny and I are both from Colorado so between the two of us, the holidays can be CRAZY busy.  We have big families which means multiple celebrations for both of us, but we would not have it any other way.  And with Thanksgiving right around the corner, I thought it could be helpful to share some of my favorite hostess gifts.

Hosting a holiday is no small feat.  We hosted Friendsgiving last year and it was a blast!  But, my goodness was it tough.  I remember thinking "how did my mom do this all the time?".  She was the hostess with the mostess and seemed to do it so effortlessly.  I now know the real time and energy that it takes to make a holiday go smoothly.

I love bringing a small hostess gift to each gathering we attend throughout the holidays.  Something small like these Sugarfina boxes are perfect, adorable (and delicious!), they come in several designs and various flavors.  I think this CHEESE BOARD is so special (yes, it is a cheese board!)... almost too pretty to put cheese on, almost ;).  I am planning on getting one for our home for a few of our upcoming gatherings.  Also I love the this cocktail guide cutting board for the great bartending host!

Grad Gift Guide

Over the last few weeks or so, graduation announcements have slowly been trickling in.  We are hitting a whole new phase in our life: friends are having babies, and the cousins and neighbors who I still picture as tiny, little ones are graduating and heading to college – such an exciting time!

For a while now, one of my favorite local shops for gifts has been Swoozie’s on 6th.  They have adorable, girly gifts and décor and you can stick a monogram on almost everything in the entire store – and we all know how I feel about personalization and monogramming (it’s kind of a situation)…  With graduation around the corner here are my picks (at every price point) for 2015 graduating guys and gals!

Graduation gift guide

I was so excited to find a place that sold Smathers & Branson items like these cufflinks and this belt. This is typically an East Coast brand you don’t see around these parts, but I think is a great graduation gift for any guy.  I actually got Jonny a wallet like this one (with his school insignia) for his graduation five years ago – holy cow... I can't believe it either!!   I love this blush striped duffle – it would be perfect for weekend trips back home or fun getaways!  This necklace is also one of my favorite gifts for girls of all ages.
